Saundra Adams is an on-camera, television news reporter currently employed as an editor by Fox News affiliate Channel 23 in Tulsa. The purpose of this website is to introduce Saundra Adams and her video resumé to potential employers in the broadcasting field. From early on, when she was still a resident of Buffalo, New York, Saundra applied herself to become educated as an on-air correspondent, and she identifies broadcasting as her “calling” in life, as opposed to employment one might fall into accidentally.

Saundra is proud of her professional assurance on camera, her diction and communication skills, and her ability to connect genuinely to the copy she iterates. She has a highly conservative attitude towards the ethical and professional responsibilities of an independent news journalist, citing a commitment to delivering factual information. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and very much supports their commitment to the traditional standards of reporting. Saundra believes in limiting the bias that creeps into some reportage, where the on-camera personality goes beyond delivering the who, what, why, when, and where of a story, but also conveys how those facts should be interpreted by the viewer. Saundra strives to present interesting breaking news or features without making her own feelings about the news part of the story.

Both in her native Buffalo and her adopted community of Tulsa, Saundra lends her skills and energy to local service organizations and charities. She is especially active in mentoring programs for at-risk youth in her community and is appalled by the dismal statistics reflecting youth dropout rates from high school and the low percentage of at-risk children who are prepared even if they do graduate high school for the demands of college academics. She believes mentors supply children with positive role models that are typically missing from their lives, and mentors can offer guidance based on personal experience that has an uplifting effect in keeping youth centered on positive goals that benefit society.

In the fast-paced world of television journalism, Saundra Adams considers herself one who helps others achieve a personal vision. She desires at all times to identify colleagues' professional goals and to honor them by participating in making them a reality. When it comes to working side-by-side with others in her field, she considers herself a team player. Through a strong commitment to journalistic ethics, Saundra feels she has the best opportunity to accomplish what is most important to her in the field. When it comes to choosing which stories to put before the audience, this independent reporter favors family-oriented pieces and her own affection for youth and childhood illuminates the reporting she contributes.
